As the Safeguarding and Quality Manager, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding individuals who use our services, ensuring their safety and well-being and of those around them, while upholding our commitment to Believe in People.

 

Location: Brighton and Hove Recovery Service

Full time Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £39,302.37 - £43,814.50 (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)

 

Responsibilities

About the Role:

 

You will take a service wide lead in overseeing and improving safeguarding, quality and governance and compliance, reporting directing to the Services Manager. The aim of this role is to best align the service with the Care Quality Commission’s five key questions: To be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. They will be instrumental in embedding the learning culture within the services by sharing learning from incidents across the staff team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Creating and undertaking regular, cyclical audits of services delivery as it relates to improved safeguarding and quality assurance.To co-develop and prompt regular monitoring and review of the service quality improvement plan (SQIP) with the Services Manager.Identify areas of good practice and areas that need improving, and formulate robust action plans, including actions to reduce likelihood of recurrence of death and serious injury for people who use the service.Ensure effective investigations of all incidents and ensure learning is disseminated appropriately throughout the service.

About You:

 

A clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.Experience working in regulated services.Experience developing safeguarding, quality assurance and good governance practice in drug and alcohol or related services.A detailed understanding of the Care Quality Commission key questions, inspection regime, reporting and the challenges/risks that will need to be managed.Experience conducting audits and reviews to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for development.
