This position is located on site at Kemerton. **What You Will Do** + Maintain and enhance the safety component of the HSE Management System so that it meets the requirements of recognised international standards. + Provide advice to the business to ensure ongoing compliance with both internal and external standards and legislative requirements. + Maintaining and executing the business’s Safety Plan. + Support the delivery of world class safety leadership programs inclusive of behavioural based safety. + Support the Safety team in delivering Operational Excellence. + Facilitate safety auditing and management engagement across site + Be a champion for the Albemarle Life Saving rules particularly Permit to Work and Lock out Tag out systems. + Support safety improvement projects + Support safety related investigations + Support contractor safety programs + Support safety related reporting for internal and external audiences + Previous site-based experience working in heavy industry, mining, refining, or processing environments + Genuine passion towards and experience in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems, processes, and procedures + Skilled in effective communication and stakeholder management to build rapport and influence. + Passionate and committed to all aspects of safety. **Required:** + Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role in Mining, Chemical Refining or resources environment. + Minimum of Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or significant experience + Strong computer literacy + A demonstrated proven work ethic and team player. + Excellent problem solving with a high attention to detail. + Excellent communication skills, both written and oral coupled with the ability to develop, engage, and maintain relationships for a range of stakeholders at all levels. + Experience in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems, processes, and procedures + Well-developed understanding in relevant legislation **Preferred:** + Diploma or higher in a relevant safety and health field preferred **Benefits of Joining Albemarle** + Competitive compensation + Comprehensive benefits package + A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.
