CASO is seeking Safety and Airworthiness Engineer (Levels 2-3) to join its team in Everett, Washington. 

This is a great career opportunity in the Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness Compliance team within Boeing ODA (Organization Designation Authorization). The position provides exposure to a close interaction with a dynamic team of project managers, wider Boeing organizations as well as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The successful candidate would be leading variety of Compliance related projects, primarily conducting and managing Root Cause Analyses (RCA), while applying Problem Solving Models on issues either identified by the FAA or ones identified internally.

This Individual Contributor role requires use of various project management tools and software to facilitate and/or conduct Root Cause Analysis and Investigations related to Airworthiness Non-Compliances. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for conducting research to determine if there is a noncompliance to the ODA Procedures Manual, or the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs). They will help provide oversight /guidance to resolve medium to complex certification/compliance technical issues and provide clarification on the procedures related to FAA issued Letters of Investigation, Informal or Formal Compliance Actions, and/or Internally driven Voluntary Disclosures or Self-Audit findings, and Part 25 Airworthiness Non-Compliances.

This person will closely coordinate with the internal stakeholders, as well as the FAA, organize and conduct meetings, as required, in order to resolve any outstanding issues/concerns. Daily duties include cross-functional, multi-team coordination between Engineering teams, Regulatory Administration, Safety, Quality and other organizations, while ensuring regulatory project milestones are met; creating and reviewing documents for internal and external stakeholders including the FAA.  In support of company performance goals, close monitoring, and tracking of assigned action items is expected.

Primary focus is on Airworthiness Compliance and Certification related processesApplies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutionsHighly motived individual contributor with high attention to detail.  The role requires diving deep to become a subject matter expert in FAA requirements and ComplianceCommunicates across -departments with stakeholders.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating, sharing ideas, and presenting findings or recommendationsPerforms various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architectureAbility to gather and analyze relevant data to perform root cause analysis and investigationsDemonstrates the ability to apply critical thinking to evaluate various aspects in order to evaluate data collected   

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry1+ years of experience in project management1+ years of experience in systems engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience in FAA regulations1+ years of experience with Root Cause Analysis

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Associate (level 2): $87,550 - $118,450

Mid-Level (level 3): $104,550 - $141,450
