Job Summary

We are now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager, Environment, to lead EHS for the general management of all IFF Group companies in Russia and the production site in Serpukhov.

In the center of your attention

As a manager for environmental protection, health and safety, fire, electrical and industrial safety at work, you will directly monitor the organization's compliance with applicable standards in the field of environmental protection, health and safety at the state, local and corporate levels. You will ensure the safety and environmental support of our production in Russia of the company's sales units by developing and implementing effective strategies to improve environmental protection programs that meet regulatory requirements and ensure business results. This position has a broad technical scope and covers safety, industrial hygiene, the use of hazardous materials and environmental protection.

This position is located in Serpukhov and will report to the Operations Director.

How You Will Contribute

• Provide all aspects of health, safety and environmental support, fire, electrical and industrial safety to the manufacturing company and the company's sales units.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by complying with all laws and local regulations related to occupational health, safety and the environment, fire, electrical and industrial safety.

• Manage all investigations of incidents or accidents, support the effective management of injury or illness cases, including return to work and transition programs, the level of injury due to loss of working time, the recorded level of incidents, etc.

• Development, preparation for approval, control over the implementation of internal instructions and regulations health and safety, industrial, electrical safety, environmental protection, fire safety.

• Develop, implement and facilitate safety and environmental training programs to ensure compliance with all company and government requirements, maintain supporting documentation and record safety training hours.

• Collect and provide data on safety and environmental performance, compliance, costs, and incident tracking. Inform site managers about the status, trends and progress in achieving your goals.

• Organize, lead and participate in activities that promote employee engagement in safety and environmental programs.

• Participate in the review of new operations, processes and procedures (as well as changes in existing operations), starting from the proposal/design stage and throughout the implementation period, to ensure that fire safety, occupational safety and environmental factors or hazards are taken into account.

• Maintain the management of the program for the storage, sale and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensure that all shipments are properly decorated and labeled in accordance with the guidelines.

• Review new materials for the site and ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) is maintained and up to date.

• Ensure that proper safety controls for new processes or products.

• Management of the development and implementation of capital projects to improve occupational safety at the facility, fire and industrial safety.

Monitoring and support of permit requirements related to occupational safety at facilities, including fire safety requirements.

• Participate in audits related to occupational safety and ethical standards.

• Monitors the conduct of a special assessment of working conditions at workplaces, monitors the timeliness of these measures, analyzes the results of the assessment and initiates proposals to reduce the impact of harmful and dangerous environmental factors on employees.

• Organize, manage and participate in environmental, health and safety management systems at facilities.

• Support the implementation of a technological safety management system at facilities.

• To cooperate with state supervision and control bodies in the field of fire safety, labor protection and ecology. To control the completeness and timeliness of the fulfillment at the company's enterprises of the regulations of state supervision and control bodies in the field of fire safety, labor protection and ecology.

• Performing the duties of health, safety and environmental support, fire, electrical and industrial safety for IFF Russia Group of Companies.

• All other functions, activities and tasks inherent in the position that have not yet been mentioned in order to contribute to the proper work of the EHS Department and the IFF Russia Group of Companies as a whole.

Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful

• Bachelor degree in Environment, Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene or any other relevant discipline.

• 5-7 years of Health and Safety experience in an industrial setting.

• Proven track record in monitoring exposures to noise, airborne particles and other IH exposures experience.

• Demonstrated knowledge in development of Job Safety and Job Hazard analysis (JHA and JSA).

• Demonstrated success driving safety metrics downward in a Behaviour Based Safety environment and leading accident or incident investigations.

• Good experience managing continuous improvement projects.

• Project management and training facilitation capability or background.

• Ability to motivate, direct and coordinate the safety activities of managers and their direct reports.

• Knowledge of the requirements of current regulatory documents and legislation in the field of

environmental protection, health and safety, fire, electrical and industrial safety.

• Working or liaison experience with regulatory agencies.

• ISO 14001 and 45001 Lead Auditor (Preferred).

• Certification in Health and Safety Management.

• Availability of valid certification for additional professional education in the field of fire, electrical and industrial safety.

• Business level English proficiency.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Self-driven, positive mindset with proven ability to manage competing priorities.
