Responsibilities Exempt management position responsible for leading and directing all security personnel and property safety programs. Performs supervisory duties in addition to gatehouse/patrol officer’s duties. Protect the property and provide a safe environment for guests and staff. Staff Supervision & Training: Responsible for the selection, on-boarding, training/development, counseling and termination of security staff. Manages the performance review process. Ensures all staff follows proper daily procedures and supports department and staff with all guest related activities focusing staff on guest safety. Ensures that payroll, time sheets and time clock corrections, staff scheduling and staff member payroll issues are managed in a timely manner. Approves PTO and shift changes, manages availability and ensures optimum availability to meet demand. Trains new staff members according to all corporate specifications, including reporting procedures, safety procedures, documentation. Ensures all security and safety personnel perform their duties following Canyon Ranch policies and procedures, and as instructed by management. Operations: Manages the daily operations of the security department, ensures property is secure and regular patrols are conducted and documented numerous times per shift utilizing both foot and vehicle and any fire/safety or criminal activity is appropriately handled. Develops and implements standard operating procedures in accordance with each type of emergency or safety protocol needed. Provides guidance and assessment on policy matters and SOPs. Manages the Security Key Control program. Performs locking and unlocking of doors and arming and de arming of alarms as needed. Develops, communicates and executes Lost and Found procedures for property, manages the program and maintains Lost and Found archive. Safety: Ensures full compliance with OSHA standards and preventive measures. Conducts and documents required training in departments/areas throughout the property. Develops, regularly reviews and periodically tests all property emergency plans. Ensures program in place to deliver required CPR/First Aid training to designated staff. Tracks all departmental safety records and certification requirements per OSHA, CPR, etc. Investigations: Manages the investigation process ensuring all medical incidents (guest and staff), thefts, property loss and unlawful activities are properly responded to, investigated and reported. Works closely with Management to ensure all incidents are documented to include witness statements and photography as needed. Documents details and advises management. Reviews security Incident Reports for completeness and accuracy; distributes reports to other staff agencies as required. First Responder: Is a primary responder and liaises with property management and local public safety departments to ensure the property remains safe during incidents. Responds to all emergencies on property to include, but not limited to fire, medical, severe weather and evacuation. Qualifications Must have prior knowledge of position/industry (3-5 years previous experience in same or related field). Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. #LI-KB1
