We are looking for a Local Safety Specialist who is passionate, proactive, and collaborative to join us in our Pharmacovigilance team, based in our UCB office in Colombes, France.
About the role
You will contribute to maintaining and ensuring compliance with Pharmacovigilance systems, operations, and procedures in place within the Affiliate, managing safety activities for UCB products across the assigned territories. You will collaborate closely with global teams and ensure effective management of pharmacovigilance-related functions to meet regulatory requirements.
Who you’ll work with
You will be part of a dynamic team, collaborating across different departments including corporate Pharmacovigilance, Quality Assurance, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs to maintain the highest standards of pharmacovigilance. Your work will involve both local and international stakeholders, ensuring global alignment and regulatory compliance.
What you’ll do
Implement and maintain a compliant pharmacovigilance system for UCB products in the assigned territories.Collaborate with local and global teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and company requirements.Support the development and maintenance of quality management systems, including SOPs and relevant documents.Monitor emerging pharmacovigilance regulations and proactively assess their impact on local operations.Engage and build trust through transversal collaborations with affiliate and corporate stakeholders to secure pharmacovigilance compliance Manage health authority inspections and audits, ensuring timely identification and implementation of corrective actions.Provide training on pharmacovigilance activities for internal teams and external vendors, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

A relevant healthcare qualification (e.g., physician, pharmacist, nurse) or a degree in medical-scientific fields (e.g., PhD/master in biological sciences).Strong knowledge of pharmacovigilance and related regulatory requirements.Experience in planning, organizing, and executing compliance-driven tasks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and local language(s).Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.Familiarity with pharmacovigilance technologies and toolsThis role offers you the opportunity to shape and influence pharmacovigilance activities within a global healthcare environment while ensuring patient safety remains a priority.
