Safety Assurance Manager
Location: York or Norwich preferred (open to other locations)
Salary: circa £50,000
Are you someone who has a passion for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment within Corporate Health and Safety and Health and Safety Claims field?. This role will involve completing ad hoc assurance initiatives, identifying areas of improvement and implementation, supporting in overall reporting requirements, documentation and large national projects.
A bit about the job:
You will conduct ad hoc safety audits across Corporate Health and Safety and Claims Health and Safety to provide assurance on standards of delivery with corrective action across all areas. Develop and implement safety improvement programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards to support continual improvement. Lead on all reporting requirements within the function including boards, committees, weekly, monthly reports. Complete health and safety audits of Aviva Contractors/suppliers independent from site H&S Managers and support with the development and oversight of the Health and Safety management system.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 5 years in health and safety management, with experience in legislative compliance. Corporate industry preferred
Excellent understanding of UK , Scottish H&S legislation
Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and influence others
The ability to prioritise and reprioritise according to business need and demonstrate Leadership skills

Salary around £50,000 - depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
