The Safety Co-op Student will be based out of Macon, Georgia (1897 Allen Road, 31216).  and we are looking to bring on a Safety Co-op student.  As a Safety Co-op student you will gain an in-depth understanding of safety fundamentals and application of them in a manufacturing setting. Learn and get involved with different departments at the facility to better understand how it correlates with EHS; Understand the operational processes that take place throughout the plant. Take initiative to determine growth opportunities with the plant’s EHS culture. This is a temporary student position. The primary language of work is English.

Job Requirements 

College student currently pursing a health and safety Bachelors

 

The main duties/responsibilities of this role include: 

Participate in and lead incident investigations and learning teams using the RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) and framework. Participate on the plant’s joint health and safety committee and complete other initiatives which drive safety excellence.  Perform audits and inspections. Coach employees to assist in connecting front-line employees with safety initiatives and goals. Present pre-developed safety topics  Participate as a Member of the sites METs  (medical emergency team) group Be willing to transform; Seek, develop, and utilize our visions, strategies, methods, and products to create the greatest value; demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and motivation to succeed.
