This is an Hourly position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Supervisor Safety Companions is responsible for the day to day operations and quality performance for the Safety Companion department. The Safety Companion program provides continuous observation, surveillance and redirection, and care team escalation of multiple patients at multiple sites to prevent harm to patients to include falls, falls with injury, and behavioral health risks. The Safety Companion role serves either onsite for direct support or remotely with video and audio connections. Assists with training, competency, and continuing education, running and analyzing reports, and participating in continuous improvement activities and projects. The Supervisor will oversee the team, functions. and performance through time spent with the team and those we serve at the remote site and the hospitals served. Responsible for understanding and supporting hospital policies, regulations, and institutional confidentiality (HIPAA). Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Experience: 1 year of experience working in a service industry Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business, or leadership focus and interest Experience: Experience as shift lead, charge, or supervisor Other skills/knowledge: Demonstrated ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions Proven efficiency in multitasking, with the ability to prioritize simultaneous situations Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Excellent phone etiquette and demonstrated superior customer service skills and ability to communicate with peers, patients, and family members in person and via telephone, email, or virtually.
