Safety Coordinator
**Job Title: Safety Coordinator** **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring ISO9002 standards and safety programs are coordinated, conducting inspections, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. **Responsibilities** + Walk the floor to perform inspections following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Control and conduct inspections on fire extinguishers, forklift safety, eye wash stations, and other monthly safety checks. + Perform risk assessments to identify safety issues. + Conduct daily safety walk-throughs and report findings. + Ensure compliance with environmental regulations. + Monitor safety data to meet OSHA and/or MST requirements. + Instruct and train team members to meet safety training requirements. + Maintain all Safety and Training files. + Coordinate Safety Committee activities. + Maintain and order safety supplies as needed. **Essential Skills** + 1+ year of experience in a safety role (experience in the oilfield is acceptable). + Attention to detail. + Basic data entry skills. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedures, and work instructions. + Ability to write work instructions, process procedures, standards, routine reports, and correspondence. + Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure. + Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with safety within a manufacturing environment is a plus. + Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values safety and compliance, providing a supportive environment to enhance your skills. The role involves being on the floor conducting inspections and ensuring safety compliance.
