Position Title: Safety Coordinator (Accidents & Claims)

Position Overview: The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing accidents investigations, and overseeing the claim process. This role involves managing incoming accident reports, assisting with repair estimations, and ensuring efficient resolution of incidents and claims while promoting a safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Accident and Incident Management:Take incoming calls regarding accidents through the accident hotline.Gather initial accident details and document reported damage.Enter accident and damage information into the system properly and accurately.Collaborate with drivers, managers, and law enforcement during investigations.Claims Management:Oversee the claims process for accidents, property damage, and liability accidents.Act as a liaison between the company, insurance providers, and legal teams.Ensure timely filing of claims and proper documentation.Track and report claim statuses and trends to managementRepair Estimation Assistance:Assist in the estimation process for vehicle and property repairs.Research and reference repair invoices to the correct accident number in the system.Provide accurate repair cost data to support claims resolutions.Compliance Reporting:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation safety regulations (DOT, FMCSA, OSHA).Maintain accurate records of accidents and claims.Prepare and submit required regulatory and internal safety reports.Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.Experience in transportation safety, accident investigations, or claims management preferred. Familiarity with DOT regulations (preferred but not required).Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software systems.
