An EHS Site Specialist works to promote a fair, reporting and learning culture on project sites, to ensure compliance to GE EHS standards, and to help innovate solutions to protect the health and safety of workers. The Roles & Responsibilities section below best defines the role, which prioritizes the proactive management of site EHS risks. This role requires EHS Site Specialists to familiarize themselves with the work being performed by the personnel in the field and EHS Site Specialists will receive day to day management and development support from Senior EHS leader.

This position is a 2nd Shift Schedule.

Job Description

 * Provide day-to-day EHS Support for facility with high level of shop floor presence
 * Ensure regulatory compliance for the site, by ensuring any requirements of permits, reporting and policies are being followed
 * Participate in learning teams in response to EHS events and assist with accident investigations to determine root cause and proactive solutions
 * Work closely with operations team to identify and address EHS issues related to site operations, equipment and site design installation and commissioning
 * Assist with EHS trainings and skills evaluations
 * Close ATS findings, employee concerns, Gensuite compliance calendar tasks by assisting/leading implementation efforts
 * Participate in site EHS inspections, audits to identify EHS deficiencies and define actions to close gaps, and resolve issues
 * Provide input, develop and maintain the area risk assessments

DESIRED QAULIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment with exposure to EHS
* Holds associate degree or higher for applicable studies or like experience
* Experience with minor maintenance/engineering projects

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

* Highschool diploma or GED
