Description We are hiring a Safety Coordinator in McAllen!

Schedule: Monday- Saturday, 8:00AM-6:00PM

Pay: $17.00/hr. Paid weekly

Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:

Develop and implement programs and protocols for the handling, storage, and processing of produce.  Conducts inspections to ensure food and safety standards, compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.  Works closely with Production Lead to ensure hygiene standards, providing guidance on best practices, risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the facility.  Investigates contamination incidents, works with Management to implement corrective and preventive actions as needed. Communicates effectively with the team and works closely with Production Lead.  Maintains accurate documentation of food and safety processes and activities.  Uses PPro guidelines on production/repack times with inbounds, evaluate overall product quality by monitoring all products via specified requirements.  Perform thorough and specified QC inspection upon product arrival. Investigate and research all specifications of unknown products to ensure a successful QC report.  Supervise Food Safety technicians and ensure that they’re submitting QC report as required.

Safety Coordinator Requirements:

Previous experience as a Supervisor in produce warehouse, QC, Food Safety. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
