Safety Coordinator - Nights

The Safety Coordinator will assist the Safety Supervisor in identifying the Safety, OSHA, DOT and Food Safety requirements, setting clearly defined objectives, and targeting and tracking the success of safety results. They will support identifying and managing progress towards achieving the OSHA, DOT and Food Safety objectives and targeting put in place to reduce or control significant identified defects.

Essential Duties: 

\n\nAssist operation safety with various safety related tasks which are subject to change.\nAssist with office related task of scanning documents, organizing training documents, maintaining safety spreadsheets and charts, Maintaining associate safety files, safety related investigations as needed.  \nSafety observations on the floor of the warehouse and reporting observations\nDocument safety needs and success to safety leadership.\nOther duties as assigned. \n\n

Qualifications: 

\n\nFamiliar with PowerPoint, excel worksheets, creating graphs and pie charts, good organizational skills, good communication skills, works well with others in a team atmosphere.\nAble to work in different temperature zones that range from normal room temperature to refrigerated and freezer temperatures\nAbility to walk long distances on the facility floor and outer dock area as needed.   \nMaintain current knowledge of state and federal guidelines and statutes, as well as other compliance. \nKnowledge of Food Safety, Food Security, DOT/OSHA, and compliance. \n\n
