We are currently seeking a Safety Document Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support Emerson’s Isolation Valve business in Australia by collaborating with HSE leaders across multiple sites like Wangara, Bunbury, Eagle Farm, Gladstone, and Newcastle. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all safety documentation aligns with both Emerson’s global standards and local regulatory requirements.
This position plays a key role in supporting Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance by developing, updating, and managing operational safety documents, including Work Instructions and Job Safety and Environmental Analyses (JSEAs). You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a SharePoint-based document management system to ensure secure, consistent, and accessible storage of HSE materials.

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Developing, reviewing, and maintaining HSE documentation such as Work Instructions (WIs) and JSEAs.
+ Establishing and managing a SharePoint-based document control system in line with corporate standards.
+ Ensuring all documentation is current, controlled, and compliant with internal policies and Australian regulations.
+ Collaborating with HSE leaders across sites to gather input, validate content, and apply visual standardization for clarity and consistency.
+ Implementing version control, metadata tagging, and approval workflows within SharePoint.
+ Supporting internal and external audits by ensuring documentation is accurate and readily accessible.
+ Training relevant personnel on SharePoint usage and document access protocols.
+ Continuously reviewing and improving documentation processes to enhance usability and compliance.
**Who You Are:**
You are proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable. You thrive in dynamic environments, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively across teams and locations. You take initiative and are passionate about maintaining high standards in safety and compliance.
**For This Role You Will Need:**
+ Certificate or diploma in Work Health & Safety (WHS), Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
+ Exposure to HSE, technical writing, or documentation management through work, internships, or academic projects.
+ Solid understanding of Australian WHS legislation and HSE documentation requirements (e.g., JSAs, Safe Work Procedures).
+ Familiarity with HSE compliance frameworks such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, including library setup, version control, metadata tagging, and permissions management.
