Job Description

 

Role of Safety Engineer at Site:

Reporting to Site Safety Lead time to time as per given assignments, given tasks and safety incidences.Conducting safety induction to Management Staff, internal audit, training/safety awareness program for all level of Management staff &workers.Identify areas for potential accident and health hazards and implement appropriate control measures.Monitoring the strict implementation of work permit system.Verify the compliance of various statutory rules & regulation and recommendation with respect to safety.Training/ assisting supervisors to conduct daily toolbox meetings.Investigating accidents /incidents and taking precautionary measures.Prepare and review safety guidelines for construction activities like working at height, rigging jobs, crane safety, material handling, and electrical safety proper access.Ensuring adequate firefighting at workplace.Implementation of international standard of safety.Emergency preparedness and conducting fire and rescue drill.

 

Candidate Specification:

Any Diploma / bachelor’s in engineering with Diploma in Safety.Candidates having experience in Safety management at site preferably in the field of Chemicals, Fertilizers, FMCG, Food processing will be preferred.International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices that apply to Process Safety.Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner.Should be able to attend project and team meetings.Conduct technical training session for team.Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices.Quality management system and proceduresProcess Safety workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination.Project Process Safety DeliverablesAdherence to HSE norms
