DuPont Facilities Services and Real Estate has an opening position for a Safety Engineer/ EHS located in Punto Polanco, MX.
This resource provides Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and, where applicable, PSM (Process Safety Management) and CA (Contract Administration) oversight, guidance, competency, and leadership, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and DuPont Corporate Standards, within site area. Lead, monitor, audit, and provide consulting for maintaining a proactive Plant specific program to achieve Site EH&S goals and objectives. Jointly accountable to the Maintenance Leader.
Your key responsibilities:
Supervises security personnel at site to ensure all best practices are met (includes subtenants). Ensures accomplishment of OEA certification requirements.Promotes, develops, and establishes a positive safety culture for site personnel. Introduce and drive best practices across areas, from corporate, and from external benchmarking.Participate and resource job safety analysis of site work areas and identify safety, health, and environmental issues.Facilitate development and review of area safety procedures and practices and ensures alignment with Site & Corporate policies and standards. Site subject matter expert resource for related Safety and Health and/or Process Safety information on procedures, guidelines, standards and/or Process Safety audits and issues.Coach teams and individuals on Safety and Health related tasks and activities.Develop, implement, and/or administer Safety and/or Process Safety training within the site and including HRA (High Risk Activities), CA and/or PSM where applicable.Ensure compliance tasks and certifications are completed (STPS, Protección Civil, Cofepris, and other federal, state, and local requirements applicable to the Site).Coordinate the schedules for audits in the Safety & Health and/or Process Safety related areas.Conduct audits routinely with strong visibility and engagement with employees and contractors.As required, conduct and document investigations and classification of incidents and ensure follow up actions to prevent re-occurrences that are addressed.Keeps the line organization appraised in making timely adjustments and continuously improve performance indicators through statistical analysis, performance metrics (leading and lagging indicators), monitoring results, etc. for Punto Polanco safety programs.Qualifications:
BS on Electrical Engineering, or related required.Manufacturing or related experience desired.Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.Proven analytical skills (data analysis and interpretation).Multitasking and project management skillsIntermediate to high level of Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated flexibility/adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.Language skills: Advanced English levelAutoCad knowledge is a plusJoin our Talent Community to stay connected with us!
