Basic Job Functions: Nucor Tubular Products- Marseilles location is seeking candidates for the position of Safety Coordinator. The responsibilities of Safety Coordinator include but are not limited to: Maintaining the Safety, Health Management Systems (SHMS); Interacting with all Division teammates to ensure plant understanding of and compliance with federal, state and local regulations; Developing, organizing and delivering safety training; Compiling, reviewing and reporting injury/illness statistics and OSHA300 logs; Monitoring contractor safety programs/performance, workers compensation and industrial health program; Participating in Division and company safety activities, initiatives and audits; Reviewing, developing and authoring safety, equipment and operating policies/procedures and managing plant security. [[cust_safetyState]] Minimum Qualifications: Ability to travel to other NTP and Nucor locations and work a non-traditional work schedule History of active involvement in safety programs and processes Preferred Qualifications: Experience with OHSAS 14001 & 18001 OHSMS Systems. Obtain and/or maintain OSHA 501 trainer certification Experience and working knowledge of OSHA VPP 3 years related experience within an industrial setting or a degreed safety professional with 1 + year experience in an industrial setting.
