OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER

Assure your entity/ site(s) adheres to all relevant health and safety legislation as per local legal requirements.Provide advice to assure your entity / site(s) adheres to all of the relevant ZEISS management system documents for occupational health and safety (e.g., CSOPs, work instructions)Develop, provide, and/or recommend safety programs, procedures and associated training.Provide or arrange for adequate technical guidance for your site/ entities as it relates to occupational health and safety topics.Recommend measures (e.g., equipment, programs) to eliminate orto reduce known OHS hazards.Coordinate, monitor and/or conduct site audits to ensure compliance with all local requirements.Coordinate the collection of data and submission of legally required reports local levels.Act as a professional liaison in regard to any government agency inspections concerning occupational health and safety issues.Escalate issues regarding OHS to the Head of SHEQ and RegulatoryReport accurately on lost time Frequency Rate on the Quantec Global tool.Maintain all Health and Safety on sites files.Ensure all H&S Team members training are up to date and update the training register.Monthly Report to be compiled and submitted to the Head of SHEQ and Regulatory on the 25th of each month.Attend all EHS Officers bimonthly network calls and update all slides for all sites.Ensure all contractors working on site have signed a 37.2 agreement and Health and Safety files are up to date before work commenceEnsure all contractors complete our Health and Safety Induction before work commence (records to be kept on file)Schedule evacuation drills twice a yearCompile all Contractor Health and Safety Files as requested by our suppliers.Oversee Health and Safety Committee Members, ensuring they complete monthly checklistParticipate in Quarterly Audits

Environmental Officer

You are responsible for the maintenance, further development and control/ evaluation of the environmental aspects of the management system, and for reporting on the environmental performance of the above-mentioned ZEISS unit, including the units/ companies which are downstream from a

managerial viewpoint.

Ensure all Environmental/Sustainability Reporting are accurately recorded and update on the “Resource Advisor.”Implementation of projects with a positive environmental impact that is
measurable (energy/water/recycling)

Quality Management System

You will be the Management System Officer (Management Representative) of your legal entity(ies) within the scope of the ZEISS Management System anchored in the ZEISS Policy and ZEISS Corporate Management Manual (CMM).You will assume the rights and obligations arising from the relevant legal requirements with respect to the management system and all applicable documents.You are responsible to conduct training with all employees once a year on the Quality Management System ProcessesYou are responsible for maintaining the local Quality Management SharePointYou are responsible to ensure Management Reviews are conducted for ZEISS after the financial year and report the outcome to the Global Quality team before or on the 15th of December of each year.
