This position is Part-Time (minimum if 20 hrs. per week) and can be filled in ANY of our Non-CA Branches: Itasca, IL, East Norriton, PA, Austin, TX, and Charlotte, NC.

Consideration will be given to a flexible “hybrid” work-from-home program.

A Brief Overview

Under direct supervision and following standard procedures, the incumbent will gain understanding of Safety & Health Department systems and tools to support Safety & Health staff and enhance operational effectiveness.

What you will do

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Review workers’ compensation claim loss run data on prospects and new customers to identify employee injury and illness trends. Enter workers’ compensation claim trend data into proprietary template. Assist in completing workers’ compensation claim analyses on specific industry sectors. Conduct Safety & Health service calls with policyholders to introduce claim reporting instructions and available Safety & Health resources. Obtain and select data from various sources to compile reports for Safety & Health staff. Attend webinars and internal meetings to gain understanding of the Safety & Health Department work processes. Develop basic understanding of workers’ compensation insurance, including understanding of experience modification, underwriting, and claims practices. Develop basic understanding of key performance measures for workers’ compensation insurance carrier. Seek advice and guidance as needed to complete work assignments. Work productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis. Respond positively to direction and feedback on performance. Consistently maintain professional and appropriate demeanor. Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent combination of training/experience required Bachelor’s degree or working toward obtaining a bachelor’s degree with preferred field of study in occupational safety and/or health, insurance and/or risk management, science, or engineering. preferred

Experience Qualifications

1+ Years general work experience preferred

Skills and Abilities

Demonstrates the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of the team. Demonstrates corrected understanding of routine aspects of work. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite preferred. Ability to work independently. Listens well and asks good questions. Ability to learn and use proprietary Zenith systems. Ability to effectively operate mobile computer and communication devices.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $29,213.67 - $36,517.08. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
