Role Overview 

 

The Loss Prevention & Safety Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing physical security, shrink reduction programs and established safety standards within their location.  The Loss Prevention & Safety Supervisor collaborates with operations and support teams to mitigate inventory shrinkage and protect bottom line profits as well as ensuring safety guidelines are adhered to; fostering a strong safety culture throughout the location.  The Loss prevention & Safety Supervisor must demonstrate an ability to cultivate trust and confidence while influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments, shrink data analysis and safety assessments

 

how you will make an impact:

 

Foster a loss prevention rich environment that inspires a culture of commitment to safety and shrink reduction Influence, guide and make recommendations on loss prevention programs that do not hinder operations. Manage daily, weekly and monthly LP metrics and reports. Identify and evaluate areas that are causing or could lead to shrink or negatively impact the safety culture Manage security staff and assist in maintenance and coordination of physical security programs Identify, promote and implement physical security best practices  Verify inventory integrity within location Monitor behavior and report unusual activity Develop and implement loss prevention programs and processes as needed Utilize CCTV and exception reports to mitigate shrink Manage all internal and external investigation programs targeting a reduction of theft and fraud Participate in departmental projects across the network Support efforts to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly and monthly audits. Serve as a location Subject Matter Expert for Safety on the floor with employees.  Manage accident and incident investigations utilizing the 5 Why system. Partner with Operations to analyze and implement correction actions. Provide or facilitate immediate aid for associates, visitors, vendors, or guests that need assistance or medical attention. Support orientation and training of new hires and athletes in new roles Maintain 5S database and perform 5S audits for all areas on a weekly basis. Conduct training and coach associates on work habits that comply with governing body regulations and Fanatics policies. Present training on all OSHA required topics reflecting the Fanatics SOPs. Manage all internal and external investigation programs targeting a reduction of theft and fraud

 

 

 

What you bring to the team:

 

Industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience is preferred, but not required Possess a strong ability to self-manage and proactively adjust focuses when needed Ability to handle crisis situations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders. Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays) Proficient with Microsoft products  Strong ability to multitask Ability to handle confidential information Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus Industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience is preferred, but not required Ability to stand 8 to 10 hours per day Ability to lift up to 25lbs frequently May be expected to lift and reach Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision May be expected to walk up to 10 miles per daily

Where You’ll Work and What’s Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, industrial safety or a related field required, or 2+ years’ work experience minimum. Wicklander-Zulwaski certification preferred LPQ/LPC preferred.
