Description
Associated Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and visitors. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety training, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Essential Functions- Include but are not limited to:
+ Overall responsibility for the safety process, including but not limited to setting and achieving safety goals.
+ Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
+ Plan, conduct and document safety training programs for personnel, focusing on risk prevention and safety protocols in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
+ Regularly inspect job sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
+ Oversee accident investigation life cycle including but not limited to investigating and documenting accidents and incidents, determining root cause, ensuring corrective action and claims processing.
+ Collaborate directly with teams, sitting in on job and team meetings as needed, to review scope of work to ensure safety measures are in place and followed.
+ Work with various departments to communicate safety policies, regulations and potential hazards to project managers, contractors, workers, customers, etc.
+ Process and file safety reports and documents as required, including but not limited to OSHA reports, incident investigation reports, third party vendor compliance safety reports, et.
+ Ensure all safety equipment and protective gear is available and in proper working conditions.
+ Promote a safety culture fostering an environment where safety procedures are diligently followed.
+ Serve as an emergency service manager, as needed.
+ Attend networking and safety events.
+ Meet with other managers/supervisors and necessary personnel as required to fully resolve conflicts, complications, and other issues according to company and client standards/requirements.

+ Complies with federal, state, and company employment and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
+ Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, employees, and other correspondences both orally and in writing.
+ Attitude and actions are in line with the company’s mission statement, vision, and values.
+ Work involves considerable communication with internal and external contacts, and access to the company’s confidential information. Employees must display qualities of a trustworthy employee, including, but not limited to, independent judgment and initiative.
+ Must be able to manage, lead and mentor others in the company.
+ Must be able to keep appointments and show up to work on time.

+ The successful candidate must be able to manage, lead and mentor others in the company.
+ Must be able to keep appointments and show up to work on time.
+ Able to travel, including, but not limited to, visiting job sites, performing quality and safety checks and travel to and from AFP branches.
+ Communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, vendors, and other contacts.
+ Attitude and actions are in line with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
+ The position has frequent periods of stress. Ability to work in a challenging environment and under pressure as needed.
Qualifications
+ Certifications- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 40 preferred.
+ Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards is required.
+ Safety management or technician certification preferred.
+ First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
+ Prior experience in construction safety management is required.
