Safety Manager
Job Title: Safety Manager Job Description Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards, policies, and procedures. Provide technical expertise to managers and supervisors in establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards. Plan and conduct periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections, assist in the update and maintenance of the company safety manual, and develop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for relevant tasks. Coordinate with operating activities to provide safety training and ensure safety awareness throughout the company. Assist in the maintenance of accident record keeping, provide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents, incidents, injuries, and illnesses, and foster a team environment when advising on needed corrections. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + 2+ years experience working with OSHA regulations and safety procedures + Understanding of Workers’ Compensation + Strong technical writing ability + Ability to address and train groups of 25-30 + Ability to adapt to a changing work environment + Ability to act independently with minimal daily direction + Ability to work closely with all levels of the company + Energetic and self-motivated Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certified OSHA Outreach Trainer for the Construction Industry (preferred) + Proficient in the use of Google Apps and internet navigation Work Environment Construction Environment Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
