Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to oversee and ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety management and be responsible for implementing safety protocols, providing training, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. 💠 While this is a contract position, if you're open to traveling, there's a strong chance you can just stay on after this contract and move to the next facility and project. If you don't want to travel or aren't able to travel, then this would just be a traditional contract position set to end once the project is complete.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure all PPE is distributed and accounted for.Assist with PPE inventory and order PPE accordingly to avoid gaps in coverage.Work closely with client procurement teams to order necessary equipment.Continuously walk the floor ensuring health & safety is being observed by all parties.Ensure all PPE is properly utilized for the assigned task.Stop and educate associates or team members on proper PPE usage when necessary.Notate any PPE infractions and escalate repeat offenders for further action.Act as a teacher, educating the team on the importance of PPE and health & safety.Essential SkillsOSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Course completionAED, CPR, and First Aid certificationMinimum of five years of construction management experienceBachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety with three years of full-time construction safety management experienceBoard-certified safety credential (e.g., CSP, CIH, ASP, CHST) with five years of full-time construction safety management experienceOSHA 500 certification with six years of full-time construction safety management experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsAttention to detailAbility to document errorsStrong communication skillsPhysical ability to lift 40lbs regularlyWhy Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
