As a Safety Manager I at SNC you are responsible for stewarding and implementing HSE policies, programs and guidelines with direction from Business Area and Corporate Teams. You'll be working individually and in teams to drive employee safety engagement expectations with a focus on continuous improvement to support SNC vision and goals. Your partnership with Leadership will provide for accountability for workplace safety including leading indicators, expectations, engagement, and recognition. Your technical responsibilities will direct and administer the HSE program for the Business Area and supervise the activities of the Safety Specialist. **Qualifications You Must Have:** + B.A. (or equivalent degree) in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field of study, or experience - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience + Typically, 6+ years of progressive safety experience in aerospace, military, aviation, or general industry, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience. + Demonstrated experience in HSE program management with emphasis on program development, industrial hygiene surveys, and driving safety culture + Proven ability to foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and company culture. + Knowledgeable in developing and implementing programs based on strategies on goals. **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Proficiency with DCMA INST 8210 + Experience in Aviation Safety with military, commercial, or general industry + Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry + Certifications, including Certified Safety Professional (CSP) + Hazardous Material Waste Management + OSHA 10- and 30-hour Training + 29 CRF 1910 – Occupational Safety and Health Standards + Proficiency with MIL-STD-882E SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
