OUR TEAM

Our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. As a turnkey solution, we offer the opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of our business operations, creating huge opportunities for growth.

Within our logistics services business there are 17+ depots throughout Australia, allowing various development and progression opportunities.

YOUR ROLE

The Safety Manager (Logistics and Transport) will take the lead in developing and overseeing safety management processes related to our EOS transportation operations. This pivotal role will report to the Safety and Compliance Manager and will collaborate closely with key stakeholders including HSE Managers, Technical Managers, and Operations Managers.

This newly created position focuses on safety and compliance of our existing workforce in the areas of forklift and truck operations.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding transportation and workplace safety

Establish and maintain procedures for National Heavy Vehicle Legislation and Chain of Responsibility compliance

Oversee and implement the transportation Chain of Responsibility (CoR) process

Develop systems and monitor training for drivers in CoR and Safety Management Systems

Conduct audits and inspections of private fleet and vendor practices

Coordinate accident investigation training for transport and logistics incidents

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Experience within the Transport and Logistics industry or similar

Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent experience

Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead in a matrix organization

Knowledge of Dangerous Goods and Explosive Transport regulation would be advantageous
