Safety Officer Responsibilities:
· Comply with OSH and government regulatory agencies in relation to health and safety, including submitting of OSH administrative report to BWC/DOLE.
· Lead OSH Committee and conduct regular Toolbox/Safety Meetings and job
safety analysis.

o Record Actions/Recommendations and provide status of completion
· Safety and health Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) at the workplace
· Implement emergency and disaster preparedness and response plan. Include the organization and creation of disaster control groups, business continuity plan, and updating the hazard, risk, and vulnerability assessment (as required).
· Record and investigate all incidents and near misses and apply corrective actions through risk control measures (Elimination, Substitution, PPE, Engineering and Administrative Control.
· Perform monthly office or onsite (if applicable) inspection.
· Conduct Safety Interaction with the staff to understand if there are concerns, what are we doing well or what needs improvement, in relation to program.
· Work with Office Administrator in ensuring the Welfare Facilities are in place and according to any applicable regulation and standard: clean supply of drinking water, sanitary and washing facilities, lactation station, first aid room, etc.
· Participate in Building Management and Local Government Unit hosted emergency simulations and conduct surprise drills
· Conduct Safety Orientations and Manage training compliance

· Work with PCO (Pollution Control Officer) and have a solid waste management system.
· Promote a drug free workplace and healthy lifestyle
· Implement Health Programs for prevention and control of COVID-19, HIV-AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Hepatitis B.
· Act as Mental Health First Aid Champion and promote balanced mental wellness in the workplace through different activities (Hybrid Seminars, Posters, Events, Information Campaign, etc.)
· Support Stakeholders in Leadership Activities on topics related to health, safety, and wellness
· Require posting of safety signages
· Support Engagement Related Activities
Qualifications
· Certified Safety Practitioner under DOLE Safety Legislation (SO3)
· At least 1-3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
· Knowledgeable on Government regulation and requirements related to Occupational Safety and Health
· Preferably a certified First Aide
