Safety Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Safety Officer to be based in KSA. As a Safety Officer for STRUCTURAL, you will be onsite of complex construction projects that make the structures of the UAE and GCC stronger and last longer. 

As the Safety Officer, you will support operations by promoting our 24/7 Safety Culture, providing technical expertise to the operational teams, supporting the project planning process, building collaborative relationships with operational leaders as well as supporting the incident management process.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Responsible for implementation of safe system of work by following the approved HSE Plan, MSRA and Safety Policies on site. Overseeing and monitoring the Daily JSA, TBT and safety Champion engagement program. Participation in Project based pre-planning meetings and provide safety feedback on site related challenges. Participation in Client Safety meetings Provides guidelines for Toolbox talk on site by observing the trend in repeated SORs. Provide guidance and support to field staff. Daily site inspections and reporting SORs. Ensuring the reported SORs are closed out timebound. Monitoring compliance of work permit system and safe work procedure. Ensure that all personnel are well trained and skilled enough for their respective roles. Ensure Tools & Equipment’s are regularly inspected, maintained, and complied with project requirements. Reporting of Incidents & Participate in incident investigation. Coordinating safety frontline safety meetings weekly. Identifying new hazards for ongoing work activities. Preparing & reviewing Risk assessments for new & ongoing tasks. Organize safety campaigns & stand-down meetings. Coordinating with General contractor for improving HSE practices.

Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this safety position:

3+ years of experience in safety as a facilitator, trainer or coordinator Experience in the industrial market is a plus. Proficiency in English, Hindi, or Urdu Previous experience working for a self-performing contractor. Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement effective corrective measures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
