The Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for performing inspections and repairs on hydraulic equipment in all areas onboard.
Responsibility:
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to the below.
Perform other work as directedEmergency responsibilities as per station billResponsible for:
Carrying out inspections, repairs and maintenance of the hydraulic installations and equipmentMonitoring the condition of hydraulic parts of the drilling equipmentImplementation of outstanding recommendations from equipment audits by customer, class or managementCarry out periodic maintenance according to the planned maintenance guidelines and coordinate same with supervisors and other departmentsMaintain equipment manuals, service reports and advise supervisor on condition of equipment and spare parts availabilityOrder new spare parts and maintain an adequate stock of spares in order to fulfil maintenance requirementsCarry out assigned tasks in a safe manner following company policies and proceduresDaily cleaning and housekeeping in workshops and other areasParticipate in:
Other relevant maintenance tasksDepartment safety meeting and technical meetings as directed by supervisorOn-The-Job training of drilling crewGeneral Responsibility:
Responsible for the safe and efficient execution of duties in accordance with the management system, instructions and training within Noble.Qualification requirements:
Experience:
Background as Craftsman within heavy industries preferred5+ years' experience on offshore drilling units as a Hydraulic MechanicCertified Mechanic including an approved apprenticeship
