Role description:

Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company’s employee safety at work. To ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

Role accountabilities:

•    Plan and implement OHS policies and programs
•    Advise and lead employees on various safety related topics
•    Conduct routine EHS inspection of equipment, work - places and hazardous materials
•    Recommend corrective measures on identified hazards
•    Conduct regular review of all aspects and hazards
•    Inspect workplaces to ensure that equipment, materials and production processes do not present a safety or health hazard to employees or environment
•    Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety programs and strategies
•    Provide consultation and deliver training programs to construction industry employers and employees on issues of workplace safety and environmental protection
•    Prepare reports occurrences and provide statistical information to management

Qualifications & Experience:

•    Experience of projects/construction/H&S 
•    Safety Officer Level 2 certification or higher (issued by a PCAB approved training canter)
•    Knowledge of national industry and/or construction health & safety standards (or willingness to obtain)
•    Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001 and 14001
•    Proficient in MS Office
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to present health & safety topics 
•    BS in Safety management, engineering or relevant field
•    5-7 years of related work experience
•    Experience in writing report and policies for health and safety
