Safety & Security Manager DC

POSITION SUMMARY: In this position, you will oversee the functions of the Distribution Center Firearm Operations.  Duties will include close monitoring of Gun Cage activities.  For Outfitters, this may include monitoring compliance with firearm policy, production rates, accuracy, scheduling, giving performance appraisals, enforcing safety issues, and improving department efficiencies.  Knowledge of ATF policies and Federal firearms legislation and regulation is a must.  Consistently demonstrates enthusiasm, patience and understanding. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure DC Firearm Operations & Gun Cage operate in compliance with ATF regulation, and company policy at all times.Responsible for the acquisition and disposition (A&D) of all firearms entering and exiting the DC in the ATF required
Bound Book, and maintaining accurate ATF A&D records at all times.Conduct firearm inventory in alignment with company policy.Manage daily activities of department by scheduling and assigning workflow checking work for accuracy, analyzing and resolving work problems, and completing daily checklists.Will train Outfitters in the Gun Cage to ensure efficient department operations.Reviews departmental policies and procedures and makes recommendations for improving compliance and efficiency.Confers with various departments to ensure efficient operations.Make decisions and resolves safety issues and concerns.Generates appropriate paperwork in regards to ATF policies and Federal firearms regulation.Tracks shipments of firearms.Monitors personnel and product in Gun Cage area to assure that Federal and ATF standards are being adhered to properly. Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

Knowledge of ATF policies and Federal firearms regulations.Knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures.Knowledge of Microsoft softwareAbility to obtain machine training/certificationAbility to create an efficient work environment with minimal supervision.Ability to establish a close working relationship between departments.Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.Must be able to consistently lift 50lbs. Ability to cross train in other areas of the DC as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

       Minimum Degree Required:

Bachelor Degree with a concentration in a technical discipline (Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Operations Management) preferred or 5 plus years of related work experience.
