WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Conduct inspection of procedures, facilities, and equipment to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors – perform hazard analysis/ abatement reviews.Develop strategies and solution aimed at reducing recognized hazards and exposure to the Distribution Center workforce.Train, develop, and educate the Distribution Center workforce on safe work practices, regulatory safety requirements, and company standard operating procedures.Investigate the cause of injuries and accidents, and perform root cause analysis to develop countermeasures aimed at preventing future reoccurrences.Manage safety record-keeping requirements, including OSHA logs, safety, and compliance training, health and safety committee meetings, etc.Show ability to communicate with all levels of workforce on ongoing safety program updates, training topics, hazard reduction strategies, and incidents affecting Distribution Center workforce.QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong knowledge and understanding of Cal/OSHA guidelines, along with other applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Excellent time management and experience with training othersStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of floor associates, supervisors, and managers.REQUIREMENTS:
3 or more years of relevant Occupational Health and Safety experience in a Distribution Center, manufacturing, or industrial warehouse environment.Must have experience with necessary computer skills to generate job related deliverables, such as input investigation data, generate necessary safety reports, develop presentations, etc.CPR, First Aid, AED certified preferred.Forklift and some powered equipment experience preferred.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Safety Management, or related field preferred:In lieu of a degree at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a similar industry required.Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays as employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.85k - 90k Salary
