Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Develop and deliver safety and orientation training programs for team members. Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented. Collaborate with customer and General Contractors to meet standards and improve overall safety environment at customer sites including participating in mandatory safety meetings Develop and maintain records of all safety documents including audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plan (PTP), Safe Plan of Action (SPA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) or other hazard risk assessments, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Submits Site Incident Prevention Plans (SIPPS) as required by customer policy. Lead investigation of occupational incidents and injuries. Provide subject matter expertise, mentor and coach site management and team members. Maintain safety presence during construction and field operations. Responsible for safety program at multiple sites.


Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in occupational safety and health or similar discipline, or three (3) years of equivalent training and experience that provides a comprehensive understanding of occupational safety and health principles and practices. Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Power Point, Word and Excel. Minimum OSHA 30 certification (Construction preferred) OSHA standards course 500, 501, 510, and/or 511 is a plus. Solid understanding of OSHA, DOT and Worker's Compensation regulations. Ability to coordinate and deliver training. Strong influencer and communicator. Strong ability to work in changing environment, see through complexity. Experience working safety on construction sites (preferred) Ability to be effective in a highly matrixed environment. Demonstrated successful experience in working in a demanding, high performance work environment and team oriented culture
