The Opportunity
Our Safety Specialist will lead the daily execution and support of our safety programs for Cornerstone Services fulfillment centers located in and around West Chester, OH. You will be a subject matter expert on EHS programs, audit safety procedures, and manage safety and workplace injuries. Work with leadership and team members to promote a culture of safety to reduce/prevent accidents and injuries. You will identify unsafe conditions and acts, propose solutions and monitor and improve safe work practices in our fulfillment centers. You will engage leadership and team members daily to develop a culture of world-class safety and measure, monitor, and improve safe work practices across our locations. You will report to our Senior Manager of Security and Safety.

Cornerstone Services offers expertise and corporate support across the four Cornerstone Brands. These shared services include IT, digital commerce, customer care and distribution. The Cornerstone brands deliver inspirations that help customers enjoy, enhance, and celebrate life. Cornerstone comprises four interactive, aspirational home and apparel lifestyle brands: Ballard Designs®, Frontgate®, Grandin Road®, and Garnet Hill®. Cornerstone operates a separate ecommerce site for each brand, distributes 163 million catalogs annually, and has 22 retail and outlet stores.
Your Impact
Conduct, lead, or advise/assist departments with accident investigations. Review safety incidents/accidents and notify leadership of results and recommendations.Attend daily start-up meetings and conduct daily safety walksAnalyze accident information; identify trends and problem areas and communicate with management. Provide daily EHS recap. Update the OSHA 300 log weekly, and provide monthly updates.Lead safety plans and improvements with leadership including prioritization.Develop/implement safety culture assessments and lead our Safety Ambassador ProgramParticipate in all annual certifications, registrations, OSHA requirements, and training and conduct fire alarm, severe weather, and evacuation drillsWhat You Bring
2+ years of experience in the field of Health and Safety Working knowledge of Federal and State safety and health regulations, and local ordinances for safety and healthAssociate degree in Safety Science or equivalent business experienceProductive planning and project management while troubleshooting safety and compliance issuesOSHA General Industry 10 and 30-hour certification, OSHA Outreach TrainerRemote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
