Our client, a leader in the automotive sector, is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Safety Specialist, you will be part of the Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) department supporting various research and development facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive approach to safety, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Safety Specialist

Location: Long Beach, CA

Pay Range: $40 per hour with 5 days of PTO accrued annually, 5 days of Sick Leave accrued annually and Holiday Pay. OT paid at 1.5x pay rate.

What's the Job?

Administer and implement SHE programs ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Conduct site inspections and lead various safety programs across multiple facilities. Prepare and conduct corporate SHE training sessions for employees. Investigate accidents and conduct root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Develop and implement educational training programs to enhance safety processes.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering. A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial operations with SHE programs. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in an unstructured environment.
