Our EHS team supports the Raymond Corporation’s multiple locations in Greene, Binghamton, Kirkwood, and the Cortland/Marathon surrounding areas. About the position: We are looking for a Safety Specialist to provide EHS support for the Greene manufacturing plant. The selected candidate will ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all EHS regulations. You will: * Develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain company policies within the Safety Manual. May interface with federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. * Investigate, measure, and evaluate safety conditions. Perform relevant research and make proposals for program enhancements. * Design, develop and deliver effective and timely safety training programs. * Oversee, develop, and perform safety program audits. * Coordinate scheduling of all required industrial hygiene testing with the EHS scheduler. * Conduct Risk Assessments and coordinate required team support. * Collaborate with Contractor Coordinators & Risk Management to ensure timely hazard assessments and orientation for all contractors. * Timely reporting of investigations of all work-related incidents. Identify and take corrective action, coordinating with internal and external partners, as necessary. * Communicate organization's emergency plans and coordinate required drills with other EHS team members. * Participate in the overall design, development, and installation of facilities, equipment, and process. * Prepare, analyze, and maintain safety reports, metrics and weak point analysis for associates and leadership. About you: * 4+ years of EHS experience. It would be great if you had: * A Bachelor's Degree in EHS, health sciences, industrial hygiene or industrial engineering. * Experience working in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment. * Certifications related to EHS such as: OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Course Certificate, Certified Safety Professional, etc. * Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and dependability. About the working environment: Primarily works in factory/operations/warehouse environment where required to stand for extended periods of time. Is required to provide support for multiple Sites, Divisions, Departments and/or Shifts requiring flexibility in terms of environment and work hours. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. About the total compensation package: Salary - $67,500 - $ 86,600 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience. Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
