Job Summary
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and health of the employees in the workplace. Their duties include:
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to work in the United States without sponsorshipDegree in environmental science, health and safety, or another related field5 years’ experience in an industrial setting3+ years in EHS experiencePreferred Qualifications:
Bi-lingual (speaking, reading, and writing). Fluency in Spanish, Karenni, French, & Creole is highly preferred.CPR and first aidKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with OSHA, EPA, and state regulationsAble to communicate with all levels of employees, from upper management to hourly employeesResponsible for driving a consistent message throughout the organizationAbility to do the right thing when no one is looking and strength to stand up when situations arise that put people or the environment at riskDrives continuous improvement, knowing that even small improvements contribute to the success of the organizationProficient in MS OfficeDisplays a willingness to learn and ask questionsWork Environment
This position operates in the office and in the plant. All aspects of the operation will be part of the EHS supervisor’s job function. This will take the employee from the office to all areas of the plant, storage areas, maintenance areas, and exterior of the building.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The employee will be subject to heat and to cold temperatures.
