**Safety Supervisor** **Monday-Friday 6 AM- 2:30 PM** **Job Description** Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Follows Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for materials and equipment. **Responsibilities** + Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. + Follows OSHA rules and regulations. + Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for materials and equipment. + Prepares studies and analyses of industrial accident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel and outside agencies. + Inspects organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. + Provides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions. + Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations. + Compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies. + Prepares and arranges safety exhibits and material for display, promotional work, industry conferences, and exhibitions. **Essential Skills** + Safety training + OSHA compliance + Safety audit + EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) + OSHA 30 certification + Inspection + Safety procedures + Site safety management + Safety program development **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in preparing safety exhibits and materials for display. + Ability to lead investigations of accidents and injuries. + Experience in compiling and submitting accident reports. **Why Work Here?** Opportunity for advancement and the chance to work in different departments. The work environment is very industrial with cranes and large equipment used to cut, bend, and form steel. Work is primarily done inside but can be exposed to weather conditions including cold, hot, or wet conditions. It is a dirty and industrial environment with loud metal clanking noises.
