What this job involves

Develop and implement workplace safety policies, programs, and proceduresConduct inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure regulatory complianceInvestigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing recommendations forcorrective actionsConduct safety training sessions for employees to emphasizing adherence to protocolsMaintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessionsCollaborate with departments to address safety concerns and develop risk mitigation strategiesStay updated on industry regulations and best practices, making recommendations as neededSupport the Safety Officer in emergency response planning and drillsAssist in maintaining safety documentation, including manuals and procedures

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant degree/certification in safety management preferredProven experience in a similar role, strong understanding of safety regulations/standardsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written), effective at all organizational levelsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize effectively, handle multiple tasksStrong problem-solving skills, proactive and positive attitude towards safetyCandidates with less experience considered for Safety Supervisor role
