Job Summary

The Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and health of the employees in the workplace. Their duties include:

Train employees on safe work practicesTrack training completionEncourage employees to identify unsafe or at-risk conditions and enforce safe work practices and regulationsEnsure all required reports and records are properly maintainedLead acute incident investigations and ensure root cause analysis is usedCoordinate and follow up with other departments to ensure that modifications and improvements are tracked, documented, and completed with established time framesNOTE: this description is not intended to be all inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Must be 18 years of age or older.Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.Degree in environmental science, health and safety, or another related field5 years’ experience in an industrial setting3+ years in EHS experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bi-lingual (speaking, reading, and writing). Fluency in Spanish, Karenni, French, & Creole is highly preferred.CPR and first aid

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience with OSHA, EPA, and state regulationsAble to communicate with all levels of employees, from upper management to hourly employeesResponsible for driving a consistent message throughout the organizationAbility to do the right thing when no one is looking and strength to stand up when situations arise that put people or the environment at riskDrives continuous improvement, knowing that even small improvements contribute to the success of the organizationProficient in MS OfficeDisplays a willingness to learn and ask questions

What We Offer:

The expected base salary range for this position is between $65,000.00  However, your actual base pay may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to your job-related experience, qualifications, skills, expertise, and geographic location.This base salary is a component of our total compensation package, which also includes the following:This position is eligible for the Company's discretionary annual bonus plan and merit increases.Comprehensive benefits packages include Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.401(k)Disability insurancePaid time off and six company-observed holidays.Our company supports your career growth with ongoing learning and training programs.
