Austin Industrial, Inc- We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Technician to be based in Artesia, New Mexico.
This position requires a Valid ID and or Valid Driver's License.
This is a short-term position working 7/10's +OT.
Must pass DISA Background/Drug Test/Physical and Computer Site Training
Pay rate: $32.00/hr.

Safety Technician

Engage in a critical role in ensuring a safe work environment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations. Provide guidance on safety procedures and practices to workers and supervisors. Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and programs. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce its proper use. Investigate safety incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions. Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks to improve safety awareness among employees. Maintain safety records and reports, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements. Respond to safety concerns or emergencies and take appropriate action as needed.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education: High school diploma or equivalency certificate

Experience: 2+ years of previous experience in Safety Technician role implementing and overseeing aspects related to an environmental, health and safety program. 

License/Certification - Valid ID and/or Driver’s License.
