Job Description: \n
Assists in the administration and overall supervision of project safety and accident and fire protection programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.\n
Functional Requirements:\n\nConducts regular walk-through inspections of pipe fabrication facilities.Identifies, documents; recommends resolutions of hazardous\/potentially hazardous conditions; follows through to ensure that corrections have been made.\nDocuments and investigates all accidents, safety violations and other unsafe conditions or activities.\nCompiles data, photographs, etc.; prepares pertinent forms\/reports according to corporate procedures & federal, state, and local regulations associated with accidents.\nIssues various entry permits (i.e., to confined spaces) as required.\nAssists in emergency rescues as required.\nAssists in maintaining fire protection and grounding systems.\nAssists in controlling hazardous working conditions\/unsafe employee activities through interfacing with management\/supervisory personnel.\nParticipates in developing and conducting personnel safety training programs.\nPerform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.\n\n
Qualification Standards:\n\nKnowledge of safety procedures and regulations\nCertification in OSHA or other safety standards\nProficiency in safety software and databases\nOSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification\nFirst Aid\/CPR\/AED certification\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to maintain composure in high-pressure situations\nTechnical training and\/or industrial related safety experience\nPost-offer drug\/alcohol screen and physical evaluation\nHazard Communication orientation\/test\nTurner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination\nOSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)\nJob site orientation\nJob site safety requirements (long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.) and Safety PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)\nApplicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace\n\n
Physical Involvement:
May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and\/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing \/ sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching\/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; typing \/ data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment\n
Mental Involvement:

\u2022 Climatic\/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc; potential exposure to chemical substances\n
Miscellaneous Requirements:
