OBJECTIVE:   To outline the correct method of coordinating all training activities with the direction of the plant Safety Supervisor.  To oversee all documentation regarding tracking our training process as well as specific areas of our Safety & Health programs designated by the Complex Safety Manager and the plant Safety supervisor.

\r\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To utilize all tools and resources to educate and effectively communicate specific training information to all site employees, consultants, visitors and contractors in relation to site specific job duties, programs, and new techniques or materials in order to empower employees. To help build skills in relation to their job task and to help better the working relationship at all levels of the operation. Lead trainer must be proficient in verbal and written skills as well as have knowledge in the use of a personal computer to include word perfect, Excel, and other Microsoft related programs.

TRAINING POINTS : As a Trainer all programs / policies should be identified and understood.  Proper classroom training methods, New Employee Orientation topics, Basic First Aid/CPR. LOTO authorized and PIT certified. A good attitude and a willingness to listen to others, is critical. The trainer should always be geared to coach and train rather than enforce policies. knowledge in the use of fall protection, respirator, air sampling equipment, confined space entry equipment, and self-contained breathing apparatuses. An exemplary Safety and Health record is required.

HEALTH/ERGONOMIC: Possible ergonomic risk factors for this job may include excessive force, awkward position, lifting equipment or supplies to designated areas or training events, participation in all safety/ergonomics activities such as committees and exercise programs at the floor level at designated times. **This position will also require use of knife.**
