As a summer analyst, you’ll spend the summer learning about the market as well as Barclays’ global businesses, products and services. You will complete three rotations on different Sales and Trading desks across the following areas:
• Financial resource management

• Credit
• Equities
• Equity financing
• Foreign exchange
• Rates
• Structuring
• Securitized Products

Who we're looking for


To be considered for this program, you must be pursuing an undergraduate degree and have a target graduation date within one year of the conclusion of this internship.

Ideally, you'll have a GPA of 3.2 or above. You'll have an interest in business and finance, a good work ethic and be keen to learn and develop a technical skill set.

Working in New York


You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.

Salary / Rate Minimum: 110,000

Purpose of the role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for the global markets division.Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for the global markets division.Management of client relationships and provision of customer service support to clients and customers, under steadily decreasing supervision, responding to questions about products and services, processing of transactions.Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making in the global markets division.Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.
