Job Description

As a Field Sales Account Manager for Agilent's chromatography and spectroscopy chemicals and supplies (CSD) products, you are responsible for selling CSD consumable items to end-user customers in your assigned territory, which incorporates MD, DE and Quest Diagnostics in VA. This role incorporates a broad range of account management activities, from customer collaborations to coordinating with local colleagues to provide complete workflow support, to providing technical consultative sales in pharma, biopharma, life science research, materials, and a wide range of applications. As a customer-centric account manager, you support the heart of customer applications and workflows, and you bring high energy and a focus on customer success.

Responsibilities:

Sell Agilent chemistries and supplies and analytical consumable items to end-user customers, and partner with sales colleagues on workflow and solution-oriented offeringsLead and generate existing and new sales for assigned named accounts, and partner across the full range of customer buying channelsMaintain ongoing long-term relationships with key accounts and industry thought leadersPartner with strategic and enterprise teams in pharma and biopharmaceutical companiesBuild, monitor, and revise lead generation plansResponsible for meeting quota and sales targetsInterpret customer needs and works to meet those needs; identify potential business opportunities, and handle sophisticated leads, opportunities, and projects independentlyIdentify the right workflows and products that support analytical needs, and build a comprehensive territory management plan that integrates all of the components of a customer-centric CSD field sales account managerEmbrace continuous learning and improvement to meet emerging needs and evolving customer requirementsQualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in chemistry, biology, or biochemistry, or equivalent experience required4+ years of relevant account management and sales experience are requiredFamiliarity with liquid chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC) requiredMass spectrometry (LC-MS, GC-MS) and gas chromatography (GC, GC-MS) required, ideally both instrumentation and analytical consumablesExperience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical laboratory workflows and applications desired

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least January 17, 2025 or until the job is no longer posted. It is sales incentive eligible. In the US, this position is eligible for reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $110,250.00 - $183,750.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
