We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive net new business and expand Octopai’s footprint across enterprise accounts. In this role, you will lead a high-velocity SaaS motion focused on metadata management, discovery, and data lineage. You’ll be a trusted partner to both customers and internal Cloudera field sellers—educating, qualifying, and closing opportunities through a prescriptive, proof-of-value-led sales cycle. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building pipeline in high-growth product categories.
As a Strategic Account Executive you will:
Be a key player in Cloudera’s growth strategy as we scale metadata automation and data governance.
Operate with the agility of a startup while leveraging the strength of an enterprise market leader.
Work in a fast-moving, high-impact environment with the autonomy to drive real business transformation.
Drive revenue and pipeline generation through direct sales efforts and Cloudera field engagement.
Lead Proof of Value (PoV) cycles that demonstrate value quickly
Guide and enable internal AE’s to qualify and advance Octopai opportunities.
Execute Octopai’s prescriptive sales approach to ensure speed and repeatability.
Manage complex sales cycles with executive buyers and technical teams.
Provide field feedback to marketing and product to shape messaging and roadmap.
Maintain accurate forecasting using MEDDPICC methodology and SFDC discipline.
We're excited about you if you have:
7+ years of experience in SaaS, cloud data, or analytics sales
Proven ability to source and close net-new logos in enterprise accounts
Confident leading short and long-cycle evaluations that emphasize fast time-to-value
Skilled at educating field sellers and accelerating internal adoption of new offerings
Experience navigating multi-stakeholder environments and influencing technical and business buyers
Familiarity with metadata, lineage, or catalog solutions is a strong plus
Previous experience selling into Financial Services, Healthcare, or Manufacturing a bonus
Ability to operate with a startup mindset—agility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to scaling a business within an established market leader
Strong field sales experience selling in North America
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Willingness to travel up to 40% as needed
