Sales Account Manager - Mining

Job Description :

You will be primarily responsible for Developing growth strategies and plans focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction on the Mining Market and having an in-depth knowledge of the mining industry. Selling specialty chemicals, dosing skid/equipment, Solenis’s Patented technologies for mining industries and consultancy and associated services from leads generated. The position would suit someone who is passionate about the mining industry.

Candidates will show flexibility, innovation and a commitment to quality. People skills, teamwork, and the ability to approach and interact with a range of stakeholders are also a must.

Target Account Development

Working with the local resources/Customers to audit and assess new prospects and existing customer operations to determine where Solenis’s chemical and technology can help improve operational efficiency, reduce total cost, maximize productivity, and improve finished product quality.

Process Optimization, Water Treatment, Water Management 

This will encompass mineral flotation, process scale control, foam control, thickening and clarification, water treatment, and total water management. 

Optimize Solenis Water chemical programs in mineral processing operations by providing recommendations to improve chemical applications and operational controls in the plant.  This will be accomplished through a combination of chemical modelling, data analysis, and evaluation of plant operating parameters.

Assist with deployment and optimization of Solenis Water technology solutions.

This role will to lead the technical support activities for the segment.  This includes the following unit operations of mining, crushing, grinding, separation, concentration, and refining. 


Plant Technical Trials

Help develop detailed trial plans at new prospects and existing customers by assessing historical operational data and determining the best approach to help meet customer KPIs. This includes the development of the following:

Criteria for success (linked to Discovery Agreement)

Real-time data acquisition

Establishing key performance indicators and pertinent operational data requirements

Plant trial support – work with Metallurgy and Operations staff during plant test to advise on recommended changes/adjustments help optimize the performance of the application

Post-Trial Support – assist with data analysis, conclusions, and recommendations

Job Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred in Chemical and/or Mining

Having good mining market knowledge in Indonesia

5 years and above working experience in sales/business development in the same or similar industry.

Understanding of production engineering and utility systems is highly preferred

Responsible for generating appointments with Mining Customers

Develop a sales funnel in SFDC, lead follow-up and proposal generation for the sale of solution, costing of investment and service contract.

Close sales by generating and executing sales plans in assigned territory

Work closely with current and prospective customers to maintain and grow sales within assigned territory

Evaluate all revenue-generating opportunities within a customer or prospect and make proposals as appropriate

Engage in problem-solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels

Creating and reaching customer agreement on value propositions that focus on our competitive advantage derived from our broad product portfolio

Meet sales targets by meeting or exceeding key metrics for revenue, account retention & profitability
