Role and Responsibilities
The Sales Analyst will serve as a critical support resource for the Head of Sales, providing actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to inform key decisions. This role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive view of historical sales trends, maintaining real-time performance tracking, and producing strategic analyses that guide decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of transforming data into actionable business insights.
Role & Responsibilities
Sales Performance Reporting:Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into sales performance against targets.Trend Analysis:Analyze historical sales data to identify patterns, seasonality, and opportunities for growth or improvement.Forecasting & Projections:Support the Acting VP/Head of Sales in building short- and long-term sales forecasts based on historical trends and current pipeline activity.Business Insights & Recommendations:Translate data into clear, actionable insights to support sales strategy and decision-making at the executive level.Territory & Segment Analysis:Provide performance breakdowns by geography, product category, customer segment, and channel to inform territory planning and resource allocation.Sales Process Optimization:Identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement in the sales funnel; recommend process enhancements to drive efficiency and results.KPI Monitoring:Track and report on key sales metrics (e.g., conversion rates, deal size, sales cycle length) and provide variance analysis.Collaboration & Support:Partner closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, and Finance to align reporting needs and ensure data accuracy.Other duties as assigned.Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.3+ years of experience in sales analysis, business analytics, or a similar role.Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Excellent analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into executive-level insights.Strong communication and presentation abilities.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.The salary range for this role is expected to be between $80,000 and $85,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
