Summary:

The Sales Analyst Intern position will assist in strategy development for both current and future states. This position will work closely with the Director of Sales, Regional Sales Managers, and Product Management to develop actionable projects and useful tools to improve the selling process and profit generation. The ideal candidate will be able to handle and develop multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Knowledge and willingness to explore artificial intelligence platforms in analysis is a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

Develop/adapt a Sales Territory Analysis Model that evaluates the economic impact of current business based on value generation vs the cost to deliver this business. This will include evaluation of call frequency, resource demand, distance traveled to cover, opportunity costs and other factors to develop a full economic picture for each sales region.

Develop market analysis tool that identifies current available market value and share of business based on selected geographic area and paper grade. Should also include a market risk assessment.

Evaluate opportunity management using Sales Force and develop and execute improvement ideas. This will include facilitating meetings to improve the current process.

Develop improvements in Customer Relationship Management using Sales Force based on feedback from key stakeholders in the sales organization. This may include dashboard enhancement and conducting training on data management among other things.

Other tasks/projects as identified and assigned.

A project review presentation will be given to peers and management at the end of the internship to showcase your contributions as an intern.

 

Requirements:

Current enrollment in a Business, Economics, Finance, or similar analytical fields.

Must have completed 2 years of coursework and maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Working knowledge of MS Office tools.

Strong analytical skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to present to groups online and / or in-person.

Office duties including sitting, standing, walking in an office work environment.

Some limited travel may be required, including visits to Voith and customer manufacturing facilities.
