We have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic professional to join our Industrial Quality Solution (IQS) team. The Sales and Application Specialist (SAS) – IQS will have responsibilities in all areas of supporting the growth of IQS for ZEISS across ANZ. The SAS will work extensively within a networked regional and global team to support in defining and executing ANZ go-to-market strategy and directly promote ZEISS’ Industrial Metrology portfolio within industry markets. This includes complete opportunity management, from lead generation, needs assessment, creating and presenting proposals through to final negotiation of contracts.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a broad knowledge of industrial metrology and measurement applications, as well an ability to build relationships and reach across all areas of the business. It is preferred for the role to be based from our offices in Sydney or Melbourne, but candidates based in other capital cities within Australia may be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
Become a leading specialist in ZEISS IQS portfolio and its applicationsIdentify and understand market opportunities in ANZ in the IQS segmentAssume direct sales responsibility for IQS within ANZ and maintain direct and regular contact with all customers / prospects.Meet annual order intake, revenue and profitability targetsProvide insights on industrial metrology applications, workflows and jobs-to-be-doneWork with the ZEISS support functions and demonstration centres across IQS in Germany and APAC to develop and execute business development activities in ANZ.Establishing communication to identify, qualify and engage with prospective customersUnderstand the needs of prospective customers to qualify their application/instrumentation needs. Managing incoming leads and opportunities in the companies CRM system.Manage, develop and close sales opportunities for the IQS portfolio in industrial markets in ANZ. This includes understanding requirements, defining solutions, and negotiating contracts and pricing for equipment and services across the IQS portfolio.The key skills required:
Professional experience or degree in engineering, industrial quality control, additive manufacturing or related fieldsBroad knowledge of industrial metrology and measurement applicationsPreferably experience in technical sales to industrial accountsExcellent verbal and written communicator, with the ability to translate technical informationStrong presentation skills and able to communicate to small and large groupsWillingness to travel throughout ANZ and abroad when requiredIf you have a strong interest to shape markets with the latest innovations and a motivation to achieve results, this is the role for you.
